The Fernley High School Gymnasium, Dining Commons, and Kitchen project, constructed for the Lyon County School District, included the demolition and new build of a 48,550-square-foot building in Fernley, NV. The project consisted of the demolition and replacement of the existing parking lot and a newly paved bus loop road. The new build entails a gymnasium, fitness and team rooms, locker rooms, a training room, an entry lobby, a dining commons area, a kitchen, and storage rooms. This project was constructed on a concrete foundation supported by footings with a structural frame composed of concrete masonry units (CMU), structural steel, and load-bearing masonry, an exterior of CMU, metal panels, and masonry, and a roof composed of the polyvinyl chloride roof membrane and single-ply.
