The Pinion Hills Elementary School Addition and Renovation project, completed for the Douglas County School District, included selective demolition, renovations, and new additions to the 18,500-square-foot elementary school located in Minden, NV. The facility houses approximately 44 classrooms and supports over 500 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The project featured upgrades to the school’s fire alarm, clock, bell, intercom, telecommunications and data systems as well as an expanded parking lot and bus drop-off area. The elementary school was constructed to match the existing school buildings in the area with wood framing and concrete masonry unit veneer and metal panel roofing.
