The NDOT/NH/FAST Facility project, built for the Nevada State Public Works Division, included the new construction of a two-story, 62,000-square-foot public safety complex located in Las Vegas. The facility functions as a communications center for the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), the Southern Command Headquarters for the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP), and houses the Freeway and Arterial System of Transportation (FAST) integrated Intelligent Transportation System. The project features 30 six-inch projection screen monitors for the real-time monitoring of traffic on 56 live feeds throughout the Las Vegas Valley, and approximately 20 workstations. The public safety complex was constructed of tan block and glass. Due to CORE’s construction efforts, the NDOT/NHP/FAST Facility now serves the community with expeditious notifications to drivers of traffic conditions and faster response times.
