The Walter C. Young Middle School project, completed for the School Board of Broward County, involved 224,916 square feet of renovations to the campus located in Pembrooke Pines, FL. The project involved upgrades to mechanical systems, direct digital control systems, and electrical systems throughout 16 buildings. Two new cooling towers were installed, 14 of the campus’ buildings received new roofing systems, and new windows, doors, exterior painting, and flooring replacements were performed throughout the campus. The project was completed while the campus remained active, and strict attention was paid to maintaining the learning environment as well as student and staff safety.
