The Hidden Oaks Elementary School project, built for the School Board of Orange County, Florida, included the new construction of a 75,620-square-foot elementary school campus and the demolition of the school’s existing modular buildings in Orlando. The two-story campus supports 450 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. The project features an administration building, a cafeteria, athletic fields, play areas, bus access, water retention areas, and new air conditioning units. Construction consisted of a concrete foundation with a concrete tilt-wall system, an exterior of concrete, and single-ply over the lightweight insulating concrete roof. Due to CORE’s efficient planning and communication, the Hidden Oaks Elementary School remained active during the project’s duration.
