The University of Oklahoma Callaway House project included the new construction of a five-story, 700,786-square-foot student housing facility located in Norman, OK. The project consisted of the demolition of 14 buildings and two pools, the construction of three new buildings that feature courtyards and support 388 apartment units and 917 beds, and a five-tiered, 691-space parking garage. This project achieved LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainability and energy efficiency. The student housing facility was constructed on a conventional slab-on-grade concrete foundation, a wood structural frame, an exterior of Hardie panel and brick siding, and a single-ply membrane roof. The University of Oklahoma Callaway House now supports an academically oriented community for promoting collegiate success.
