The Citrus Dining Pavilion project, built for Arizona State University, included the new construction of a 19,857 square foot dining facility located on the university’s Polytechnic Campus in Mesa, AZ. The facility houses a serving area and private dining room to accommodate approximately 1,200 students. The dining facility was constructed of ground face masonry block and structural steel columns and joists with an 80-millimeter single-ply membrane roof adhered and mechanically fastened to the frame. The project also features a sub-division to include a gaming area and lounge (Devil’s Den), café, and a market to remain operational when the dining rooms are closed. This project achieved LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainable features and energy efficiency. The Citrus Dining Pavilion project was completed simultaneously with the Century Hall Student Housing project and opened in time for ASU’s Fall Semester.
