The Buckeye Valley Fire Station No. 326 project, built for Buckeye Valley Fire District, included the new construction of a 15,192-square-foot fire station on a five-acre site in Buckeye, AZ. The project includes three apparatus bays, accommodations for ten firefighters, and a training/multi-use room for approximately 35 people. This station achieved LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for on-site wastewater treatment, a thermal solar heating system, and a photovoltaic system for energy generation. The new fire station was constructed with an ICF and steel joist structural frame, masonry and stucco exterior, and standing seam metal roofing. Due to CORE’s value engineering efforts throughout the course of the project, a new fueling station was added to the project’s scope. Buckeye Valley Fire Station No. 326 now provides a safe, environmentally friendly station for first responders to effectively serve the community.
