The Hawthorne Health and Rehabilitation project, completed for Sarasota Senior Living, involved the new construction of a two-story, 82,000-square-foot skilled nursing facility located in Sarasota, FL. The facility houses 80 units with 120 beds split into four residential living pods arranged around an enclosed central courtyard. The project features a movie theater, a bistro, and plush living quarters. The skilled nursing facility was constructed of a hollow-core concrete plank foundation, masonry and steel structural frame, and a single-ply roof. The Hawthorne Health and Rehabilitation project now provides a unique healthcare experience for members of the community.
