The Ministry Downtown Headquarters project included a renovation and historic restoration to a seven-story, 116 year old, 292,300-square-foot building in Peoria, IL. Renovations included tuck pointing, new terra cotta, new glass fiber reinforced concrete spandrel panels, and new windows. In addition, canopies were installed with custom aluminum castings. The build out included new interior structural steel, all new mechanical systems, six new elevators and high end finishes. The restorations included all existing plaster columns and two stair wells. New spaces are primarily open offices with center conference rooms and lavatories. The seventh executive floor included restoration of the plaster dentil work and column capitals to the original “Tea Room” space. The completed project now mimics how the building was in 1904, except with modern materials.
