The Fretz Park Branch Library Addition and Renovation project, built for the City of Dallas, included select demolition, new additions, and various renovations to the 19,500-square-foot municipal library. Additions involved extending the library’s classrooms, study rooms, and general areas. The project also featured various interior renovations throughout the facility as well as parking lot upgrades. The municipal library was constructed on a structural slab foundation with a structural steel frame, an exterior of glass and brick, and a TPO membrane roof. The project received LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council upon completion. The Fretz Park Branch Library Addition and Renovation now provides a larger, up-to-date facility for computer connectivity, library programs, and community meetings.
