The Bachman Lake Branch Library project, built for the City of Dallas, included the new construction of a 21,000 square foot municipal library located in Dallas, TX. The facility houses a 60,000-volume collection of books and media and public computers. The project features youth and adult reading rooms, community meeting rooms, classrooms, a theater, and drive-up stations for book and media returns. This project achieved LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for implementing environmentally-friendly features, such as energy efficient lighting, energy saving geothermal heating and air conditioning systems, air quality monitoring systems, and low water use landscaping and gardens. Due to CORE’s sustainable construction practices, the Bachman Lake Branch Library now offers an environmentally friendly and state-of-the-art facility serving the members of the community.
