The Starbucks Distribution Center project, built for the Starbucks Coffee Company, included the new construction of a 712,007-square-foot warehouse addition to the Starbucks campus located in Minden, NV. The facility supports the streamlining of regional coffee bean sourcing in the distribution center and increased roasting capacity at the roasting plant, which roasts 100 million pounds of beans annually. The project included 300 external semi-truck trailer parking spaces, 35 industrial loading docks, internal offices, a guard shack, and truck entrance gates. The warehouse was constructed on a foundation consisting of concrete spread footings and walls with a structural steel frame. An exterior of tilt-up concrete panels and a TPO roof over bar joists and metal deck completed the construction. Due to CORE’s effective scheduling during preconstruction and efficient project management, the Starbucks Distribution Center project was completed ahead of schedule with minimal disruption to the ongoing warehouse operations.
