The City of Eloy Public Safety Facility project included select demolition, renovations and new additions to the city’s existing police station and former City Hall in Eloy, AZ. The project included two phases. The first phase included interior demolition and the abatement of the existing city hall, courts, administration, and finance department. This phase also included the reconstruction of the 7,800-square-foot interior for police use. The second phase included the complete demolition of the old police station and the construction of a 9,200-square-foot addition to the remaining building. This new facility features a sally port, booking, processing, a holding area, property/evidence storage, gymnasium facilities, locker rooms, a briefing room, and secure parking. It also includes office space for the police department, IT personnel, and communications center. The buildings were constructed on a continuous footings and slab-on-grade foundation with a masonry and structural steel frame, an exterior of stained masonry and an exterior insulation finishing system, and a spray-applied foam roof. The City of Eloy Police Department’s updated facility provides its public safety personnel with a modern police station that will serve the community for decades to come.
