The City of Dallas South Central Police Substation project included the new construction of a 38,000-square-foot municipal law enforcement station located in Dallas, TX. The facility supports the South Central Division of the Dallas Police Department. The project features administrative offices, detention cells, records, storage, restrooms, vehicle service bays, and fueling areas. The project also included utilities and street work upgrades to meet the law enforcement and safety needs of the community. The Dallas South Central Police Substation was constructed with a structural steel frame with concrete masonry unit block walls, brick veneer, and a limestone panel exterior. Recycled wood, metal, concrete, and paper materials were used throughout construction. The project achieved LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainability and energy efficiency. The Dallas South Central Police Department now provides an environment for facilitating community involvement with law enforcement in the south-central region of the city.
