The Eureka County School District Gymnasium project included the new construction of a 42,328-square-foot athletic and recreational facility located in Eureka, NV. The facility serves both the members of the community and students in the district. The project features a gymnasium with a basketball court, an indoor track, a weight room, a wrestling room, an exercise room, classrooms, and a full kitchen. This project received the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) and the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICIPI) concrete Masonry Design Award of Excellence. The new gymnasium was constructed of a spread footing and grade beam foundation with a concrete masonry unit and a steel structural frame with a glazing, metal panel, and concrete masonry unit exterior, and a standing seam, single-ply roof. The Eureka County District Gymnasium project provides a state-of-the-art facility for community-wide and district use.
